PHYSICAL EDUCATION

In Physical Education, all grades begin with cooperative activities. This helps students learn about their fellow students and build a relationship with their classmates and Mr. Sousa. Parachute activities are their favorite! After spending some time on cooperative activities, students begin units on physical fitness where each student discovers their own personal fitness level. Students take the statewide "pacer test," a running activity to help measure their fitness levels. Following the fitness unit, students engage in various sport activities (i.e. frisbee throwing/catching, basketball, hockey, volleyball, etc). After the sports unit, students perform dances for other classes following dance/zumba lessons.
