The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families remains our highest priority.
We are reaching out to share information and provide reassurance following the tragic shooting at Brown University, which understandably raises concern across the Rhode Island community.
We have been coordinating closely with Mayor Maria Rivera and the Central Falls Police Department. As part of our ongoing commitment to school safety and preparedness, there will be an increased law enforcement presence across our school campuses as classes resume. This step is being taken proactively and out of an abundance of caution to support a safe and supportive learning environment.
We want to emphasize that there is no specific or identified threat to our schools. This measure reflects our continued coordination with local public safety partners and our shared focus on preparedness, visibility, and reassurance.
We encourage members of our community to report any concerns directly to school administrators.
