Welcome to Cowden St. School
|
Cowden Street School was originally a parochial school built in the late
1800s. In the mid-1990s, the City of Central Falls leased the building
to ease overcrowding in the public schools. For several years, it was
occupied by the children and staff of the Ella Risk School while their school
was renovated. In September, 2000, the school became Cowden Street School and opened its doors for Kindergarten children of Central Falls. In September, 2001, two First Grades were added. The school enrolls approximately 170 children. |
