Kindergarten registration begins on January 30th. Children must be five years of age by September 1 to be eligible for Kindergarten. Veterans Memorial Elementary helped National Geographic Kids magazine set the Guinness World Records title for the most people doing jumping jacks in a 24-hour period. To break the record, more than 20,000 people worldwide needed to complete one minute of jumping jacks in events occurring between 3:00 p.m. ET October 11, 2011 and 3 p.m. ET October 12, 2011.  Veterans Memorial Elementary students in third and fourth grade participated in the challenge by doing one minute of jumping jacks on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. “Let’s Jump!”

On Thursday, October 6, 2011 Robertson Elementary students participated in a walk to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. Students wore pink to show support for breast cancer survivors. The school raised 0. All proceeds will benefit the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation.
