Registration Center

For Registration people need to bring

v      a birth certificate, passport, baptismal certificate- something to document their age,

v      the child’s immunization record,

v      two proofs of address- a driver’s license, a utility bill.

Families fill out a registration form and appointments are made for language testing to determine eligibility for the ESL program if necessary.  The nurse will examine the immunization records and counsel families concerning health insurance and clinics in the area.  The Registration Center is open for registrations from 8:00- 3:00 during the last two weeks of August and the first week of September.  Otherwise, our hours are 8:00-4:00.  There is always someone there who speaks Spanish.

The other programs housed in the ROC include SCOPE, Child Outreach ( screens 3-5 year old children), Larry DeCoste, the truant officer, Even Start and COZY and Arts Literacy.

Textbook loaning for private schools also is at the ROC. Students should order their books before August 1st to ensure availability.

Working papers are available at the ROC.  Students need to bring proof of their age.

The birth date cut off for Kindergarten is 9/1/00.  Children who are five years of age are eligible to attend kindergarten.  Kindergarten registration is ongoing.  There are no days set aside for that as other districts do.
