Where do I register my child?
At the Student Registration Center located at 521 Dexter Street (corner of Dexter Street and Rand Street)
When may I register my child?
The Center is open Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Student registration is only from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Appointments are suggested. Walk-ins are welcome.
What do I need to bring to register my child?
- Birth certificate, passport or resident alien card
- Two CURRENT proofs of Central Falls residency in the parent or legal guardian’s name. It can be any combination of the examples listed below.
- Utility bill (gas/oil, electric, home phone, cable)
- A signed, current lease
- Department of Human Services letter
- Pay stub
- Voter’s registration card
- Bank account statement
- Mortgage statement
- Property tax bill
- Complete immunization records for all students and additionally the grades below need the following:
- Pre-Kindergarten
- Kindergarten:
- Current physical exam
- Proof of lead screening
- Vision exam
- Grade 7:
- Grade 7 through 12:
- Tdap booster – only if it has been more than 5 years since the last dose.
- Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan if applicable
- ACCESS scores if applicable
- Bring your child’s most recent report card
- High school students should bring a copy of each year’s transcripts or latest report card to be properly placed
How long will it take to register my child?
It takes approximately 30 minutes to register a child and slightly longer if there are Special Services considerations.
Do I bring my child for testing?
You do not need to bring your child at the time of registration. It is advisable to bring in a copy of your child’s report card and ACCESS test scores if applicable. Note: If another language is spoken at home, an appointment may be given at the time of registration for your child to have language testing at a later date.
